Medical Simulation

Healthcare simulation will become enormous in the next few years, as clinicians, patients and managers recognise its benefits. Using simulators for training is cost-effective and can decrease patient harm and improve both confidence and competence of doctors, nurses and other medical personnel. Simulation does of course have its down-side, and there are risks of negative learning and stereotyped behaviour if it is applied improperly or excessively.

We have created a not-for-profit website external to anaesthetist.com called WickedSim.org. As the name suggests it's also a Wiki, and you're welcome to visit, and add useful information about simulation.

We would like to emphasise that WickedSim is a non-profit Wiki; there is no advertising, not even <grin> Google Ads like the one above! Links to external sites can be inserted, but if we consider that somebody is abusing the site to sell services, that text will be altered or removed.
