Sources of Images

  1. First and foremost, we would like to thank Dr Olaf Larson from the Pretoria Heart Hospital for all of the video images. He supplied these as uncompressed AVI clips, which we have snipped and compressed.

  2. Most of the video stills were taken from Dr Larson's TEE videos. A few (poorish) images were culled from elderly textbooks. (Hey guys, if you recognize your images and want us to take them off, email us)!

  3. Anatomical sections were from the Visible Human slice server (see below).

  4. All other pictures were created by myself (jo@anaesthetist.com). The HTML was hand-coded using MS-DOS Edit.

  3. The Visible Human slice server. An absolutely stunning method for viewing anatomical slices in any plane - provided you don't mind the source of the slices, of course. Works well with Netscape 4.7 (MSIE 5.5 gave some hassles). This will take you directly to the applet!
